We work with local teams and suppliers as much as we can. We are a small community and we look to support each other as much as we can. Our products are Handmade By Science, with love from Vienna.

Our handmade approach is not just a nice thing to talk about. It’s something that we believe in preserving and responsibly passing on to future generations.

Let’s clear some things up: As the beauty industry continues to rise, its plastic problems continue to rise. We try to become more sustainable every day and work towards creating a future with less pollution.
We produce in our Viennese manufactory in small batches with Viennese high-quality fresh spring water in a resource-saving manner. Hey, this is seriously a thing – Vienna has the best tap water. Read more about it here.
Our packaging is recyclable and we take responsibility by making it a high-priority to recycle them appropriately.
Additionally, we work on new ideas on how to minimize waste.
Packaging
Almost 50% of our packaging, cartons, bottles, tubes are distributed from the EU, which effectively cuts down on carbon emissions when transported to Austria.
Formulas / Ingredients
Locally produced (active) ingredients are far more difficult to source in Austria. You can hardly find companies producing them in Austria. We are committed to preserving sustainability throughout our entire supply chain, therefore we try to source most of our ingredients from the DACH area (D-A-CH = Germany – Austria – Switzerland).
Future
We are just getting started and we are hoping for a better future in the beauty industry, within our company and in general, when it comes to sustainability.
We are already working on a concept to offer refills. This way you can reuse your bottles and reduce waste.
Everyone should be taking responsibility to be better. All this is just one more step closer to a cleaner, sustainable beauty industry and our company’s environmental values. We are optimistic that we can have a great impact in saving mother earth. It is never too late to start!
It’s all about the packaging in the cosmetic world. First you touch and feel, then you try the texture and smell the cream … what can be prettier than having pretty bottles of beauty brands lined up on your bathroom shelfie? But dumping them into the trash-can after use is not always the answer. What do you say?
As we said, everyone should be doing their bit, and taking responsibility to be better. We have two ways in which we try to do ours.
Our first initiative is what we call the TEMT Green Cream Return Scheme.
It’s our way of reducing the amount of pots that go to waste after use and it’s very simple…

Upcycling, also known as creative reuse, is the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products perceived to be of greater quality, such as artistic value or environmental value1.
